Zach Kruep and the UNC Tarheels came into the playoff Tournament ready to play and left as the 2025-26 Champions!

The Tarheels were the number 2 overall seed after a 12-2 (8-0 in their conference) regular season. They went 12-2 in the first round, knocking out challengers like NC State and Wisconsin in the process and moving to the final 4. In the final round, they took St Joseph's in the WCC vs George Washington (which Fordham and Maryland did) and ended up 12-2, taking the title.

This is the first championship for the UNC Tarheels. Congratulations again to Zach Kruep, and good luck in your title defense in 2026-27!
